The Coffee Maker Store is an independent guide to home coffee equipment. Despite the name, we are not a shop: we do not sell, stock or ship anything. We explain how different machines work, what the features on a spec sheet actually change in the cup, and how to keep equipment running well.

Our guides cover drip and single-serve coffee makers, espresso machines, grinders, manual brewers and the small accessories that make a difference, such as scales and kettles. We write for people who want a clear answer without needing to become coffee hobbyists first.

Who we write for

Our readers are home coffee drinkers in the United States who are buying a first machine, upgrading, or trying to get better coffee out of the gear they already own. Every guide aims to answer a real question clearly and point to the source behind any important claim.

How we work

Our articles are researched from manufacturer manuals and specification sheets, standards and guidance from bodies such as the Specialty Coffee Association, and published safety information. We explain how we chose and checked information in our Editorial Policy. We do not publish fake reviews, invented test results or made-up personal stories, and we do not claim to have tested a product unless the article says how it was tested.

How the site is funded

Some links on The Coffee Maker Store are affiliate links. If you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Commissions never decide what we recommend. Read our Affiliate Disclosure for details.

Important

Coffee equipment involves hot water, steam, pressurized boilers and mains electricity. Always follow the manufacturer's manual for your machine, especially for descaling, cleaning and any repair. Our troubleshooting guides cover routine user maintenance only; anything involving the inside of an appliance belongs with the manufacturer or a qualified technician.
